our story.

How it all started

From humble beginnings, Alfa-Bridge founders started their Chinese journey in Hong Kong, at the border with Shenzhen.

In their early years of Chinese experience and as foreign expatriates, the founders of Alfa-Bridge Limited decided to set-up a company in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, operated from the mainland in Shenzhen.

Connecting one of the most prominent financial and trading place at the time with a dynamic, vibrant and powerful manufacturing hub with Shenzhen being already the silicon valley of China.

The choice of incorporation in the Hong Kong S.A.R. (Special Administrative Region) of China makes it convenient for international trade while operating in Shenzhen, giving direct access to Chinese manufacturers.

After 7 years of operation and development, a new management took over and changed the company strategy for a bright future

In late 2019 a new management took over with fresh ideas in mind and a global vision for the company.

From a modest small trading company, the new team took the lead to a new path with avant-garde vision and implementation of technology combined with their experience of China business practices, building a boutique purchase office for their key customers.

The team in Shenzhen grew and the new office opened in Nanshan district to meet increasing operational demand from customers.

COVID-19 times

At the early stages of the pandemic, the company  had to adjust to a new worldwide environment with China being hit first and hard by the consequences of the pandemic.

However, the team took advantage of a critical situation by turning years of expertise with China supply chain and long-term relationships with Chinese businessmen into a competitive advantage to serve its customers with a growing demand of  quality PPE’s and testing kits, among other products as production restarted slowly.

The company handled its first request for commodities and the  Chinese subsidiary ALFA TECHNOLOGY (HAIKOU) CO., LTD was created in the Hainan province Free Trade Port (FTP) in early 2021 to cater specific project needs and support the company’s expansion.

Increasing demand for Commodity Trading and strategic adjustment in Supply Chain operations

With its long experience in supply chain, risk management and trade finance, as well as the fast-growing interest for commodity trading from its clients and new opportunities arising from suppliers to cooperate with Alfa Bridge, the management took a major decision in 2022 and decided to split its operations and human resources in two separate business units, each with its own team leader and process: China Supply Chain and Commodity Trade.

Mr. Santiago MUNOZ expanded the China Supply Chain operations, while Mr. Antoine RIONDET built and took the lead of the Commodity Trade operations.

Rapid expansion of Commodity Trade business and key partnerships in  China Supply Chain.

In the early days of 2023, the company opened its first office in the African continent in Dakar, Senegal, to cater regional market though its own entity ALFA BRIDGE AFRICA SARL.

From this moment, the company expanded its expertise in mineral trade from sub-Saharan region, connecting with mines and factories in Senegal, The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Zambia, Tanzania, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa.

The company also engaged into the  exploration of potential trade for Agricultural products and started  dealing with Fertilizers to Senegal targeting local African market.

In the meantime, the China Supply Chain unit focused its resources and operations on key partnerships with key players in Latin America markets.

Continuous expansion of Commodity Trade business through Africa and the Philippines

In early 2024, Alfa-Bridge inaugurated its first office in the Philippines, ALFA BRIDGE PHILIPPINES, to expand its supply Chain and Commodity trade in the South-East Asian nation of thousand Island.

Along with its continuous expansion over African market, with key-partnerships with major players in logistics, trade financing, mining operation, manufacturing and operations in Africa.

The company expect to open its operation offices in Lubumbashi, DRC and in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania to support our existing  local operation team.

Expansion to Europe (France operation office) and Middle East (Dubai) are expected by the end of 2024.
